What an Appraiser Must Know About DI:
Destination Imagination teaches students the skills they'll need as they traverse the road of life - like how to tap into their own creativity, how to solve problems, and how to work together. Teams of seven students choose one of six different Challenges and spend several months perfecting their "solution" for tournament day where they showcase an original solution to the challenge. Teams, from kindergarten through college level, have worked since September to create unusual and diverse solutions that will stimulate your mind, have you laughing at times, and give you hope for the future.
What Qualifications Must an Appraiser Have?
To qualify, a person must be:
A great day of entertainment and the knowledge that you helped expand the minds of hundreds of children awaits you. Plus, you have the best seat in the house, you get a t-shirt that is sure to delight and cause envy, and there's a free breakfast and lunch.

Attend one of the appropriate Appraiser Training Sessions below. You will receive an overview of the challenges and the appraiser roles necessary to make the tournament a successful experience for every team.

- At least 18 years of age and a high school graduate.
- Available for one scheduled appraiser trainings.
- Able to maintain an enthusiastic, positive, and encouraging attitude with all team members and adults on tournament day.
- One 3 hour training session
- Appraisal on the tournament day till sites team performances are complete
- On tournament day bring device that can connect to internet for mobile scoring. Any cell phone, tablet or laptop with a web browser will work.

- It is anticipated that all appraiser training will be virtual.
- Not all registered appraisers will be able to appraise.
- If you are selected to appraise, you will receive an invitation to the training directly from your Challenge Master.
- Do not share or forward the meeting invite for any reason, its only for you.
- Do NOT email the RYT support for the training invite. They are not part of this process.
